There’s nothing more embarrassing than having a bathroom that reeks of urine, especially when guests ask to use it. It can be truly awkward. That’s why I’m sharing a simple and effective method today to quickly eliminate the urine smell from your bathroom, so you’ll never be embarrassed by this situation again. Your bathroom will stay fresh and clean for every visit. Personally, I never hesitate to use this recipe at home. It was the definitive solution for getting rid of the urine smell in my toilet.
One of the most used and dirtiest rooms in the house is undoubtedly the bathroom. It therefore requires more cleaning and care than other rooms. Sometimes, a weekly cleaning isn’t enough. Indeed, even if you clean the floor and walls, it’s essential to pay attention to the toilet itself. It’s constantly in contact with germs and bacteria due to frequent use and contact with urine, which sometimes splashes outside the bowl. This can cause an unpleasant odor, which becomes a real source of embarrassment when guests come to the house.
If you have men in your home, such as a husband, sons, or nephews, and you notice a strong urine odor in your bathroom, this recipe is for you. In addition to teaching you a recipe using cloves, I’ll also share some home remedies to keep your bathroom clean and fragrant.
Preparing this solution is very simple. You only need 10 cloves, 4 tablespoons of baking soda, olive oil or soybean oil, and a glass jar with a lid. In the jar, add the baking soda, then add the olive or soybean oil in the same proportion. Next, place the 10 cloves in the jar. Make small holes in the lid or use a piece of cheesecloth to allow the mixture to breathe. Then, place the jar behind the toilet after cleaning the bathroom. It will act as an air purifier, filtering out impurities while releasing a pleasant scent into the air.
In the evening, you can also add a spoonful of cloves to the toilet bowl and leave it to soak in the water until morning. This will also help to diffuse a pleasant fragrance.
Let’s move on to some other tips you’ll definitely appreciate. Before we continue, do you have a recipe you use to keep your bathroom fresh every week?
Now let’s talk about white vinegar, lemon, and baking soda. These ingredients are true cleaning allies, and if you care about the environment, you know they’re perfect for disinfecting and removing the yellow stains that often form inside the toilet bowl.
For this recipe, you will need half a cup of white vinegar, the juice of one lemon, and half a cup of baking soda. Mix the white vinegar and lemon juice, then set the baking soda aside. Spray the vinegar-lemon solution onto the toilet bowl and let it sit for 2 to 3 minutes. Next, sprinkle with the baking soda and let it sit for about 5 minutes. Then, clean with a sponge or microfiber cloth and rinse. You can also use this recipe to clean the sink, shower, and floor. This recipe is not only effective but also gentle on the skin.
Another very handy recipe I use regularly at home is a paste made from baking soda and lemon. It’s ideal for disinfecting shower stalls, toilets, and other surfaces. These ingredients eliminate accumulated germs and also remove mold and limescale stains. To make it, mix half a cup of baking soda with the juice of one lemon. Apply the paste to the surfaces you want to clean, leave it for about 15 minutes, then rinse with a brush.
