Neither vinegar nor baking soda: How to do the simple trick to clean your stovetop burners effortlessly

With daily use, stovetop burners accumulate grease, food scraps, and grime that is difficult to remove

Many resort to vinegar or

But there is an equally effective and much simpler home trick that doesn’t leave a strong smell and doesn’t require expensive products: lemon with coarse salt.

We recommend

This combination, besides being economical, has a powerful degreasing and disinfecting effect

What you need:
2 lemons

2 tablespoons of coarse salt

1 sponge or scouring pad

Warm water for rinsing

Step by step
Cut the lemons in half and squeeze them into a container until you get all the juice.

Add two heaped tablespoons of coarse salt to the lemon juice and mix well until it forms a kind of liquid paste.

Apply this mixture directly onto the stovetop burners, making sure to cover areas with grease or ingrained dirt.

Leave it on for at least 10 minutes. This time is essential for the acidity of the lemon and the abrasive texture of the salt to loosen the dirt.

With a sponge or scouring pad, rub in circular motions, without applying much pressure. You’ll see how the grease and residue come off easily

Rinse with a damp cloth or directly with warm water and dry with a clean cloth.

Tips:
If the burners have a lot of grease stuck to them, you can gently heat the mixture before applying it. The heat further activates its properties.

This trick also works for cleaning the base of pots, oven lids, or any stainless steel surface with accumulated dirt.

Wear gloves if you have sensitive skin, as lemon can dry out your hands a little with prolonged use.

I repeated this process once a week to keep the stovetops shiny and free of unpleasant odors.

Avoid using this method on colored enameled surfaces, as the acid can stain if left on for too long.

With this simple trick, you’ll be able to keep your stovetops sparkling clean, effortlessly and without resorting to harsh chemicals.

A practical, effective solution accessible to everyone!
