Why WhatsApp is slowing down your phone
The issue only affects messages and photos that are visible in the app. WhatsApp calendar entries are also stored on your system. Add in the media that is automatically generated from groups and your conversations, and your phone can quickly fill up… even before you’ve downloaded it.
The signs that don’t lie:
- Your phone takes a long time to boot up.
- Storage space fills up quickly.
- If you haven’t installed any new apps,
- WhatsApp is now available, regardless of whether it is available or not.

Delete files from the WhatsApp app
To find out if you have direct access to WhatsApp’s internal data on iOS and Android, follow these instructions:
