Apple yogurt cake is a classic homemade dessert. Moist, fragrant, and quick to prepare, it appeals with its simplicity and comforting taste.
Thanks to the yogurt pot measurement, this recipe is ideal for beginners. The apples provide a melt-in-your-mouth texture and natural sweetness that the whole family will love.
🥣 Ingredients
1 pot of plain yogurt (125g)
3 pots of flour
2 pots of sugar (white or brown)
1/2 pot of vegetable oil
3 eggs
1 packet of baking powder (11g)
2 medium apples (peeled and diced)
1 packet of vanilla sugar or 1 tsp of vanilla extract
1 pinch of salt
Optional: cinnamon, applesauce, almonds, walnuts
👨🍳 Preparation
1️⃣ Prepare the ingredients.
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Butter a 22–24 cm baking tin or line it with baking paper.
Peel the apples and cut them into small dice.
2️⃣ Prepare the dough
In a large bowl, pour the yogurt.
Use the empty container to measure the flour, sugar and oil.
Add the eggs, yeast, vanilla and salt.
Mix until you obtain a smooth and homogeneous batter.
3️⃣ Add the apples.
Gently fold in the diced apples.
You can add a little cinnamon,
slivered almonds, or applesauce for extra moistness.
4️⃣ Baking
Pour the batter into the mold.
Sprinkle lightly with brown sugar if desired.
Bake at 180°C for 35 to 40 minutes.
Check for doneness with the tip of a knife.
5️⃣ Airfryer Option:
Preheat to 160°C.
Use a compatible mold.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
Cover if the top is browning too quickly.
